Information for our new patients

Your first visit to Temple Valley Dental Group establishes a vital foundation for our relationship with you. During the first visit, we make sure to obtain important background information, like your medical history, and give you time to get to know your doctor.  Your initial oral examination includes a visual examination, charting, periodontal probing, and may include a quick diagnosis on a specific problem. We will also take x-rays, which includes the panoramic x-ray for proper diagnosis of the anterior (front) and posterior (back) teeth as well as the bite-wing x-ray series for proper diagnosis of proximal decay of posterior teeth.

These are all reviewed after you leave. About a week later, you'll return for a consultation with your doctor.  At this time, Dr. Brown, Dr. Revestir or Dr. Briggs will discuss with you what was found during the exam, what will happen if treatment is not rendered, what options are available,  and what the cost will be, including an estimate of what your insurance may cover.

Once you and your doctor decide on your treatment, Cheryl our Business manager will make financial arrangements with you, and then Luvel our Scheduling Coordinator will make your next appointment.  There is no charge for the consultation, it is included as part of the exam.

To understand what to expect for your first visit to our practice, please read through this page. You'll find all the practical information you need, such as a map and directions to our office, practice hours, payment policies and more. There's also background information about our committed staff and our first visit procedures. You can even save some time at your first visit by printing out and completing the patient forms in advance of your appointment.

  • Earn the trust and respect of our patients, the profession and our community.
  • Go beyond your expectations.
  • Develop our skills continuously via education.

Our "Health, Function, and Beauty philosophy"
Drs. Brown, Revestir and Briggs believe that your quality of life is significantly influenced by your dental health.  A healthy mouth free of cavities and gum disease will insure you are free of pain and contribute to your overall feeling of well being.  A mouth with properly restored missing or broken teeth will ensure a pleasureable and trouble free eating experience.  And last, a beautiful smile will be the source of pride and self esteem.  Our treatment plans for you are centered on these founding principles.
